Cisco buys Starent

Cisco has announced three days ago its intention to buy Starent value of 2,9 billion dollars. Starent technology company specialized mobile networks, wireless networks such as WiFi and WiMax, and techniques for mobile 2G, 3G, 3.5G. The mobile communications operators a number of networking solutions to provide better service to their subscribers, including the possibility of implementing the 4G network platform 3G.

The company will buy Cisco at $ 35 per share, while the value of the stock for Starent the day before the announcement of the deal was 29,03 dollars, which means an increase of 20%.

This is the second acquisition Cisco is complemented by one month, after buying TandBerg in the first week of October, and specializes in video solutions, worth $ 3 billion, an increase of 11% on the value of its shares before announcing the deal.

Of deals in record time, it is clear to the reader the intention of Cisco to enter the market to hold meetings and interviews and coverage via mobile phone, from any place in the world.
